I'm about ready to kick-off two builds. A straight 284 Winchester and a 260 Remington. Remington 700 long-action and short-action, respectively.
I'm generally partial to Lilja barrels, but I'd consider others.
Thinking maybe 27" finished length, plus a Jet brake / suppressor adapter and Jet suppressor. I think the shoulder for the brake / suppressor adapter runs around 1". It might be nice if it were flush with the barrel, but not a huge deal.
Figure the suppressor is about 21.4oz and adds about 9.5" to the length when attached.
I expect to shoot prone pretty much exclusively, and not a lot of moving between shots.
In the past I've got with the Remington "varmint" profile, but that's mostly because I really don't know what else is out there.
