HI-POINT WARRANTY CENTER FINDS CARBINE BARREL STUFFED WITH 35 BULLETS
    03/07/2019 12:00 PM | by Chris Eger

Hi point barrel with 35 rounds lodged in it

Ordinarily, most shooters stop after a squib load. This is not one of those stories. (Photo: Hi-Point)
Ohio-based Hi-Point Firearms this week posted a couple of snapshots of a 995TS carbine crammed with a whopping 35 rounds of 9mm slugs.
“When he called stating he was having accuracy issues he had no idea the rounds had not left the barrel,” said the company on social media. “After receiving his carbine in we discovered the issue, re-barreled his 995TS and sent it back to him. How’s that for customer service?”
The dreaded squib load, where a bullet does not leave the barrel and typically prevents follow-on rounds from exiting, is one of the most dangerous malfunctions a shooter can experience. They often lead to dramatic and unsafe “ka-boom” situations that can result in injury and permanent damage to both life and property.
The post by Hi-Point, a company that catches a lot of shade in the gun community but backs up their products with a famous lifetime warranty, garnered almost 500 comments.
“Dude needs to buy a lotto ticket and probably go to church to say thanks,” said one. “How did he not notice it was 8050 grains or so heavier…” observed another.
And probably the best observation: “Say all you want, but you can’t knock that grouping.”
*This post was updated from the original, which stated the barrel was from a .45ACP 4595TS Carbine, after Hi-Point stealth updated their original post from that to a 9mm 995TS Carbine.*

I'm not a rocket surgeon, but how is the even possible?

Charger, Yea, I agree. My next question is why??? Never mind, the world is full of idiots...

Probably someone doing a badass mag dump for youtube clicks. Was oblivious that there were no impacts downrage.

Afterwards they put the flat bill back on and jumped into their ram or challenger.

Matt on Demo Ranch did a couple of great videos with highpoint pistols where he was plugging the barrel.

I love how everyone is doubtful because it is a high point.
JP posted about 4 years ago they had a 9mm AR returned with 22 bullets stuck in the barrel. But no one questioned them.

    *buys a highpoint*

*basically swaps everything out with aftermarket*

*look at how badass this highpoint is*

    🤔

There was a sectioned STEN barrel on the wall of the SF Weapons NCO Course at Fort Bragg that looked just like that, so it's happened before.

Persistence. Only stopped firing when the last round failed to chamber...

I'm not a HiPoint owner, but go ahead and do the following with your favorite pistol. I'll wait...

What the fuck? Did a libtard own it?

    . . . snip

They "discovered the issue" by sectioning his barrel?

Yea, I want to use a gunsmith like that.

I don't know what the problem is. Let me cut it in half and see if I can figure it out.

I am a High Point owner (my sister gave it to me) but I've never fired it.

There are some barrels like that at the Springfield Armory. Soldiers in the heat of battle who had no idea that their guns were not firing. And they just Popped Percussion caps while stuffing new rounds down the barrels.

There’s even a couple of modern rifles and I have no idea why they didn’t explode. Except that they were so overbuilt that they held.

    Cheers, Sirhr

Well if there's a solid wall 1" from the chamber and muzzle and I'm sure it didn't even think about moving using a brass rod I'm sure the gunsmiths at Hi Point wanted to preserve the evidence from an obvious case of dumbassery so all may partake and pray that this guy is never on their squad.

Probably, “We tried to run a rod down from the breech, but were unsuccessful. We then tried the bore with equal success. We then took more drastic measures...”
