How much is involved with swapping my x-bolt hunting barrel (chambered in .300 WSM) with something more suited to LR practice? I'm desparately trying to avoid going with a new rifle build until my rifle starts to become the limiting factor, but I don't see that happening for a year or more. I've read good things about the action used for the x-bolts, but my barrel isn't well suited for what I want to do. Is a barrel swap going to be a waste of time and I should just start a new build? I love the idea of having a dedicated LR rifle, as long as I'm still able to use it for hunting purposes (prairie dogs, hogs, coyotes, white tail, mule deer). Thoughts?
