I have a Rem 700 308, Krieger barrel that I want to rebarrel in 260. The current barrel has about 1K rounds down the tube and will be good for a long time.

Since the action has been blueprinted, would it be possible to fit a 6.5 barrel in 260, save the 308 barrel and be able to switch the barrel back at some point? Just wondering if this is feasible.

TIA

Re: Barrel Swap

You should the recoil lug double pinned.

I have a similar setup. 308 & 6.5 Creedmoor.

Having the lug pinned is convenient, but it's a hell of a lot easier just to buy the jig to hold it in place while you're torquing it down. $60 (or whatever, I forget) and you're done.
