Barrel weight reduction advices

Hi guys,
Currently I have a 12lb rifle with 16” heavy Palma barrel. I am looking for weight reduction with a lighter barrel, same length. If it can be 2-3lb lighter will be good. Thinking maybe Berlin rem varmint ?
Please give me some suggestions. Thanks in advance!
The rifle is surgeon made CSR with AI chassis.

The rem varmint will likely not save you a single pound. You're going to have to go much much lighter or carbon.
