Barreled action.

If you were to send a barreled action to have some upgrades done would you direct ship it yourself or would you have an FFL do it? Also what carrier do you trust to do it?

FFL for handguns. I think technically any concealable gun.

Barreled action should be fine. Whole rifle is for sure.

BA is fine and easy done.

Done it MANY times.

And they send it right back to you.

Bonus points for a smart postal delivery guy who knows your schedule, sees LRI on the shipping label, and returns at the end of his day to drop it vs leaving it.
More than a few times with packages he thought was gun stuff.
(Anything to me, not to my then wife).

Fedex requires FFL to ship now.

I like UPS. I have a hub in my town and they are very friendly.
