Barrett M99 Muzzle Brake

Has anyone removed the muzzle brake from a Barrett M99 416 ? It looks easy - one torx bolt, but I want to get some feedback before ruining my rifle.
I want to sight it in for 100 yards using a Sitelite laser, but in order to seat it into the muzzle, the brake has to come off.

Any feedback ?
