Barrett M99 Sling options

Hey fellas. I just bought an M99 so i can have a 50 in my toolbox. I take delivery in 2 weeks and it looks like it doesnt have much of a sling attachment setup of any kind. I know I can get a rail mounted attachment for the upper rail, but it looks like I will need some type of universal for the rear.

Can anyone give some ideas?

Dunno about mounting points, but for a large heavy rifle like that I’d look hard at the TAB Biathalon sling.

As far as mounts go, I’d assume a HK type hook might be stronger than a QD mount seen on many sub 20 pound rifles. Might could get a Magpul mount up front and loop the back of the sling through the rear buttstock.

Sling on a 50? I think a cradle or rack mounted on a golf cart or UTV is more appropriate.

Hi,

My recommendation would be pass on the idea of a functional carry sling and go with eberlestock style backpack. TRUST ME your body will thank you later. Especially if you are planning to tote that thing around the Alexander Forest WMA.
