Barrett MRAD - Unintentional discharges

Within the last week posts about the Barrett MRAD MK22 having accidental discharges have been circulating. By way of example, here is one.

I became aware of the purported issue today while letting my FFL dealer I wanted to order an MRAD. The owner and several sales people alerted me to the MRAD MK22 unintentional discharge issue circulating around and wondered if there was any connection to Barrett Firearms being purchased by NIOA based in Australia (https://www.nioa.com.au/about).

What do any of you know about this?

Some of these videos have been going around for years and there are several posts about this exact problem even within the mrad thread itself

First I've heard of this one ... not experiencing anything like this on my MRAD in any of my calibers (300-PRC, 300-NM, 338-LM). Next time I have it at the range, I'll slap it around a bit and see if I can make this happen.

others have commented, it sounds like potentially a user induced error, from messing with the trigger mechanism for a lighter trigger pull. I wasnt able to replicate any of the malfunctions thru my civ MK22. They've stated none of the civilian MRADs, which has an entirely different trigger pack, have had any of these reports. Honestly we'd probably already seen them, if they had as civs would def be more forward in reporting such an issue.
