Anyone using a left hand gain twist for 6.5 CM? I have one on order for new build and was wondering how it may be performing for others. Thanks

Frank @Lowlight runs a left hand gain twist on a Tikka. I remember hearing him talk about it on the podcast (he talks about it a lot.... it’s really interesting stuffs). I don’t remember if it’s a CM or a .260.... but his results are apparently pretty good.

If I remember correctly, he’s running a shorter barrel and is able to keep his velocity up in the 2800-2900 range due to the gain twist.

Kinda surprised no one jumped on this thread sooner. Do a search for gain twist, and listen to the everyday sniper podcast.... you’ll get a lot of info about it, I’m sure.

My next barrel will be a gain twist 6.5 SLR going left I am going to start at a 9 and finish at 7
