Quick question for those of you who have used both barrels. I've read a few threads where guys have stated that their Brux barrels are slower than others. I'm starting a 6 Creedmoor build and have a #3 Brux 8 twist in hand, or I could have a #3 Bartlein 8 twist spun on instead.

Is there any factual evidence out there that Brux is a "slower" barrel than Bartlein?

My last barrel was a Brux on my match rifle last year. It went out in October, and I put on a Bartlein. I now have just over 1k rnds after the match this past weekend in Washington.
My Brux was very fast and very accurate. I went with a Bart cause it was available. It is very fast and very accurate.

YOU will not be able to tell the difference in any regard.

    Regards,

Chad Dixon likes Brux barrels. That says a lot.
George Gardner likes Bartlein barrels. That says a lot.
Terry Cross uses Krieger. That says a lot.

I like Krieger, but have moved to Bartlein. No particular reason other than I hear raves about Bartlein and they are doing well in shortrange benchrest. They were also very nice when i ordered a barrel and delivery was under ETA.

I would have no problem with a Douglas for most applications. They shoot, too.
