Rifle Scopes Bases and rings

I just purchased a 700 308 and been looking at optic mounting options. Is badger steel bases and rings that much better than EGW aluminum? Pros and cons of either?

Anything Badger Ord is top notch, so you really can't go wrong with them.

I'm not familiar with EGW.

Alloy would be a lot lighter than steel keep in mind if you're lugging your shit around for extended periods. YMMV
