Basic Woodland Patrol
The basic woodland patrol class teaches students how to operate as a small unit in a wooded environment. Each student will learn basic techniques in camouflage, patrolling, movement, ambushes, counter-ambushes and more. At the conclusion of this course each student will have an understanding of how to operate as a team member of a small group in a tactical atmosphere.
This is a non-live fire class so no ammunition will be used. Pyrotechnics and blanks will be used to provide realism. Any student who has a blank adapter system for their firearm is welcome to utilize it. This is not a requirement for the course but will add to the training. 556/223 blanks and 7.62x39 blanks are available for purchase at the course. Due to safety, all blanks are required to be purchased from us. If you have any questions about using blanks please email us.
Class Length: 8 hours-class will begin at 0800HRS and go to 1200HRS. We will break for lunch and return at 1300HRS (1pm). The class should finish around 1700HRS (5pm)
Notice: This class will be taught in a field environment. With this type of environment there are unknown risk such as bugs, mosquitoes, spiders, snakes and other wildlife. Please be aware and prepare accordingly.
No electricity, water, or plumbing will be available (Portable Restrooms will be provided).

Equipment List: Required
All clothing needs to be dull earth colors: green, black, brown, etc.
1. Pair of good quality boots (combat or hiking recommended) Must cover ankles
2. Set of BUD’s ;or long pants and long sleeve shirt, flight suits are ok
3. Dull earth color undershirt (short sleeve recommended)
4. Extra pair of socks
5. Head Gear: You must have some form of head gear. (patrol cap/baseball cap, helmet, , head wrap, etc.)
6. Camouflage face paint or face mask
7.Two (2) one quart canteens or the equal (full of water) with a carry system. Two (2) quart canteens, camel packs and thermoses will suffice
8. Bug repellent
9. Sun Screen
10.Knife or multi-tool
Equipment list: Recommended
1. Bring your kit: Whatever you will use in a survival situation.
2. Load bearing gear or vest
3. Ruck sack/bug out bag
4. Blowout/trauma medical kit
5. Blank adapter if using blanks
6. Machete
7. Rain gear: we train rain or shine
