Either going with bcm or Armalite upper/lowers for next build which is SDMR clone. Any advantages of one over the other in terms of quality, finish, etc.?

I'd go with a BCM upper all the way. Lower, either will be fine. With BCM you can have a mid-length gas system and still have M4 feedramps, that is if you're looking for a middy. You'll also have a HP/MPI tested BCG/BBL. I want to say Armalite does batch testing, but I'm not positive on that. Armalite is the original though.....
