So who, besides Badger, makes decent, steel, BDL floor plate style bottom metal?

Looking for a thriftier alternative to Badger. PTG any good?

Has to be steel.

The ptg unit is very nice. A bargain in my mind when compared to other offerings. There is also Williams or sunny hill

Like mentioned and you know PTG, Williams and Sunny Hill are a few options. Keep an eye on the for sale section and Badgers show up once in a while both steel & aluminum for a very reasonable price.

I used a Williams in an HSP stock as a drop in unit and also in a McMillan (McM needed only minor fitting as it was originally inletted for a factory 700 bottom-metal). I have a steel Badger M4 in a McM A5 that I bought used for a very good price.
