Gunsmithing Bedding HS Precision Stock

I fitted a new HS Precision stock to my LA Mod 70. Great improvement over factory plastic stock. The stock comes with a lump of epoxy with instructions to skim bed. Is this the best stuff to bed this action? Has anyone used this?

I assume it has an aluminimum bedding block, is so, I would shoot it first and see how it does. Then, if you decide to skim bed you will know if it made a difference. If you are not sure about the bedding product, why use it? You will only wind up second guessing yourself.
