So the magpul 700 has a chassis and my rem sa 300 blackout fit like a glove.
Was considering bedding behind the lug and maybe even an inch or so behind that.
Has anyone use some type of a semi hard sealant instead of a glass type product like marine tex.
I used these type products on aircraft and thought that the (dampening) effects might work well?

I did have problems with the soft houge stock and just liked the magpul.

I used Devcon 10110 I would think anything semi hard would ware over time from use and removal for cleaning. Thus negating the bedding process. I will say after I bedded my Magpul it was more consistent. Five shot groups would throw a flyer for no reason. I bedded the entire action are and solved the flyer problem. In fairness my action had been trued so it fit really tight and I think when it was torqued down induced a lot of stress on the action. They are easy to bed just remove the stock sides and rough it up and go.
