So IN
I recently bedded my barreled action per Roscoe's bedding post, turned out great. Now on to bedding my CDI bottom metal.

Question: Do I just bed around the action screws/bottom or the sides also?

Thanks in adavance!

Re: Bedding my DBM

I did the bottom only on mine (CDI).
My stock was milled out for a nice fit on the sides.

Perhaps overkill but if you have the material just do it.

Re: Bedding my DBM

would depend on what the sides look like. If there is a gap there, then yes, you will want to bed it. If there isn't, I definately wouldn't clear material out specifically to bed it. Also, if you have pillars already, I wouldn't remove material around them just to bed the bottom metal either...

You can see a small amount of squeeze out but I did not purposely do the sides. The entire bottom and what little squeeze out made a movement free fit.
