What do you guys think about this stock?

http://www.stockysstocks.com/servlet/the-108/mcmillan-a5-stock-tactical/Detail

I just got my 5R and gripping the palm swell its too thick for MY liking and my pinky, ring finger dont have anything to hang on too. Should I just sell the hs stock the 5R comes with and buy the b&c medalist?

Here she is

in the mail:

Nigforce 20moa base
Burris xtr med rings
swfa 20x ss scope
podlock
triad rear bag
badger bolt knob
Tac ops stock pad (which I may sell when and if I get the b&c a5)
160 rds of black hills 168gr .308

I also need to buy powder and primers to start reloading I have everything else, Thanks in advanced for the input/advice!

Edit: I'm buying a storm case from a calgunner next thursday to keep it in

Re: Bell & Carlson Medalist A5

If it's primarily a bench gun, it's great. I love mine, and weight isn't an issue if you aren't going to carry it all day(unless you're a manly man). The weight keeps whatever recoil there is down to a minimum.

The adjustment is pretty great, I've never seen one with play and I've seen and held a lot.

Since it has an Aluminum bedding block, Freefloat that sucker and you're ready to go.

Re: Bell & Carlson Medalist A5

How does the grip feel compared to a McMillan A5? It looks nice and vertical but has anyone compared the two? I need to re-stock my LTR because I don't like the way my right hand grips it. I'm spoiled by the A5. I have a McMillan A5 on my 40X Repeater but I'm trying not to spend that much on a stock for the LTR.

Anybody want to buy a nice, barely used LTR stock?

Similar but not identical. I'm happy with my B&C. I'm happy with my A5 as well.

For the $, it's real hard to beat the B&C. They are heavy but, for my .338 EDGE, I don't mind the extra weight.

Weight doesn't bother me. The rifle seems too light anyway. Hence the name "Light Tactical".

I know... It defeats the purpose. I don't care. I just want a stock with more vertical grip.
