Bell & Carlson's Medalist A5 and DM

I searched for this topic and didn't find one. If there is one already opened, please let me know and I'll go there.

Question: Has anyone here used a Bell and Carlson's Medalist A5 stock and installed the DM that Stocky's sells? Stocky's sells both.

I like what I read about it and I'm interested to hearing what real world experiences fellow hide members might have had with putting that together before I jump into another stick.

Are you talking about the Wyatts DBM?

yes. the Wyatts DBM on the B&C Medalist stock.

It'd be better to go CDI DBM and run Alpha mags. The 10 round mag for the Wyatt's bottom metal is very long compared to the Alpha mags. Research them both and compare them to the Wyatt's and I'll bet you change your mind.

i just spoke to Jeff. He said that the Wyatts are dropped in, but he's replaced a number of them for guys who went that route.

I just might go CDI.

Any pictures with the Medalist and CDI installed?

FYI - you can have Stocky ship it right to CDI to be inletted, if you want. I did that, and it worked out well.

I've read those Alpha mags are hard to find.

I'm ordering a DBM from CDI in a couple of weeks.

Does anyone think I'll need a 5 round mag or just go with all 10 Round.

You can put 5 rounds in a 10 rounder. The Alpha mags maybe back ordered, but the wait is worth it. I read somewhere that Alpha was designing a 5 round mag... how true that is, I don't know.

I found some C-Products mags that are a cheaper alternative to AI mags. If the bottom metal you ordered from CDI accepts the AI mags, you may check out these C-Products. I am very pleased with mine, no problems at all.
