Anyone have to deal with it ? I 've dealt with this stuff about a year now and I 'm wondering what I might could do for myself, if anything can be done. I know the hearing in my right ear is super receptive because of this crap.

Have you seen a doc? Did you go through the steroid cycle? I had BP about 9 years ago and I remember going through a 2-3 week cycle of pills and it started to recede within the first week of taking the meds. Took about 6 weeks for me to recover completely, but by 4 weeks I had control of the side of my face for the most part...just felt funny.

Well I went to my doctor and he said it would just wear off on it's own but just in case he sent me to a neurologist . And he said it was BP ,I thought, no kidding, no xrays , no medication , nothing . But I did'nt know anything about any steroids , two doctors and nothing . Just trying to find out if theres something I could do for myself . Thought I might try to get lasik but unsure because of this.

My girlfriend got it after an ear surgery. She took the steroids for 4-6 months. For the first 90 days there wasn't any improvement. I believe it was almost a year before she had 98% function restored. I think there's maybe 1 - 2% that is permanent and will not return.
