Re: Beltfed 300 AAC Blackout?

I have a Michael's Machine HK23EK that is going to be semiauto on order right now. It's coming in as a semi auto, sear ready.

We can also convert it to 223 and 308. Pretty much it's, going to be the ultimate beltfed man portable machine gun!

Other then that, Noveske are the only other ones that are making 300BLK stuff. And we had to beg and plea with them to get it made!

Re: Beltfed 300 AAC Blackout?

I will definitely agree with you , John makes some righteous hardware .I have a couple of his platforms that are nothing but scary accurate. His 12.5" uppers are a thing of pure beauty. I have one that will go shot for shot with my 18" SPR of his out to 300 yards. Need to get him started on a 18" spr in 300 Blackout.

Re: Beltfed 300 AAC Blackout?

300 Blackout is awesome. I was skeptical that it would remotely impress me and just looked at them as an opportunity to add something else to the mix as far as making cool stuff. I was SUPER impressed with first prototype and it hasn't failed to continue to impress me. I put on in a Savage tactical for a Bolt rig and did a 16'' carbine and I gotta' say it is approaching 'new favorite' status. Belt fed sounds awesome!

Re: Beltfed 300 AAC Blackout?

We should be doing some videoing today and tomorrow with a well known internet persona! Getting the logistics and how we are going to film it from and in the air.

I'm glad that the 300 AAC Blackout has done so well. Thanks to Robert Silvers and crew at AAC/Remington, to get this SAAMI approved. Seems like everyone is coming out with a gun in this caliber or is making ammo for it.

Re: Beltfed 300 AAC Blackout?

Even NEF is going to make a single shot- not a single shot fan, but awesome for kids.
I hope my 6 year old cracks his first deer with my Savage or 700 this year. I have some ancient 130G HP Speers I found in my Dad's reloading stuff that are just nasty looking. I can't wait to load them up and see what happens!

Re: Beltfed 300 AAC Blackout?

You might want to go post this over on HKPRO, I know some guys were discussing if it was possible to make a 300blk 23E, they'd love to see it.

Also, are you using standard .223 links or did you have to modify them for the shorter OAL where the link indexes on the neck?

We have been talking to Michael at Michaels Machine to get his system up and running with the 300BLK. I know his 23E runs with SAW links and SAW boxes. But those guns are designed to run on the blowback system. While the barrel Noveske did for us looks like a normal piston setup, it's not. The barrel is sleeved and gas is setup to help the gas piston design of the SAW. AAC had the very first setup that Noveske did and from my understanding it wasn't running 100%. Noveske redid the design and it ran perfect today. 500 rounds and no problems so far.

Should we do 1 in 4, or straight tracer? Or how about alternating red and green tracers to get everyone in the Christmas spirit?

Re: Beltfed 300 AAC Blackout?

I haven't seen a Shrike setup run 100% out of the box yet.

Some raw footage from the helo yesterday at our ranch.
