What is ATS 34 Steel? ATS-34 is a high carbon stainless steel developed by Japan's Hitachi Steel. It's almost identical to the 154CM in terms of chemical composition and properties/performance. Mind you 154CM has for long been considered as the benchmark steel grade for high-end performance stainless steel.

I have had Griptillians in this steel and it will hold a much better working edge than the so-called super steels like S30V, etc. EDC the big AFCK for years. Still my favorite with a drawer full of spyderco’s and all the rest. If I had the coin I’d be all over this one. GLWS.

the AFCK is the best knife i've ever owned. I have one I have abused daily for the last 7 years. I am a glazier and I use it at work in ways a knife should not be used and it just keeps going. Bump for some great deals here. I'm tempted to pick up that one just to have a 3rd...
