I stumbled on a .260 barrel for my bolt gun - I'm still somewhat new to precision rifle - I'm familiar with Krieger, walther, rock... Any knowledge or personal experience with a benchmark barrel?

Along those lines, any recommendations for a length/twist for .260? I was thinking 22 inches, shooting suppressed.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Benchmark barrels?

Very good barrels. I have one on a match rifle and it is a laser. Buy with confidence.

Go 24" for the .260 with an 8" twist, so you can take advantage of the 139-140gr 6.5 projectiles like the lapua scenar and berger 140.

Re: Benchmark barrels?

I have owned at least 10 Benchmark rifles and all have been sub .5 moa shooters most have done much better when i drive them right.

If your going to shoot suppressed i would go with a 20" barrel.

Re: Benchmark barrels?

I just finished a 260 build with a 264 - 1:8 Benchmark Barrel. Shoots 140's GREAT!. We have used them in at-least 10 rifles the past few months.
I will continue to use them, great product and great people.

Re: Benchmark barrels?

I own a couple of them and they are both 1/2 MOA sometimes less. very happy with them and they are good guys to deal with, i am in the process of getting a few more too.
