I'm working up loads for my 223 and I chrono a load at 25.2 grns but it's running to fast for me at 3400 fps.
Anyone have an idea about how many grns I need to come down to get it under 3000fps.
I'm just trying to get a starting point. It's a 1 in 8 twist.

From a linear algebraic approach. The answer is 22.24 grains to go 3000 fps if 25.2 gives you 3400.
