Berdan primer question

So, after breaking 2 decap pins I relized I had picked up some Berdan primed range brass. I noticed the headstamp on this brass has a circle with an x in it, after checking more headstamps I found some that had the circle with x but apeared to be boxer primed.
My question is what does this circle with x in it on headstamp mean?

The circle with an X or + in it means its NATO spec ammunition.

Some European manufacturers seemed to load both types of primers. I know I have the Hertenberger 308 brass that is about 40% boxer primed. Take a look and save those boxer cases!
