Since it ships factory like that, the stamp might not be needed, but if it's dicey and depends on specific model declared by the stamp(money)takers.
AOW's are confusing business, so I would be extra sure before purchasing a clip on foregrip for a 92FS and slapping on a ported long barrel and a magazine. </div></div>

Not the point. I understand a vertical fore grip makes a pistol an AOW. With certain weapons, the stamps aren't necessary.
Case in point, a pistol that came with a wooden holster that doubled as a stock* doesn't count as an SBR, even though it states the criteria.
*The make and model in question is uncertain, but the ATF has stated which one it is. </div></div>
Sorry but that is the point, there is not a Semi 93R, if one were to make a clone it would be an AOW.
He wasn't asking about anything else, so you going off on a side track to include a Broomhandle Mauser is not the point.
