Does anyone here have a lot of trigger time with the Bergara B-14 HMR? Debating on getting one, they seem to be a good value for money and a few companies do pre fits for them. I am particularly interested in the 300 PRC options and would love any feedback on that. Thanks.

I’ve got an HMR in 6.5 creedmoor. Nothing stellar but nothing to complain about either. 1/2 moa 3 shot groups and 1 moa 10 shot groups at 100 yards with handloads. Ended up putting it in a KRG bravo and no changes in accuracy vs the factory stock.
FWIW wish I would’ve went the Tikka CTR route.

Thank you for sharing, they are about 950 at my local bass pro, I think I might get an EC tuner with it, if I could keep it .75 MOA I would be very happy.

I would say 1 MOA if using factory loads. Depends on what you’re using the rifle for. I wish I would’ve went the Tikka CTR route. Given you mentioned 300 PRC I’d go with the Bergara as I don’t believe the CTRs come in a magnum and the T3 lite barrels leave a lot to be desired.

They have well documented issues. Both of the ones I had , had receivers bent like a banana. Had to bed the rails to get them to even shoot.

Tikka is a much better platform/quality for similar money.

If you can stretch your budget pick up a MPA factory gun. It will shoot circles around anything under $4K.

There are discount codes out there to save 10-20% off those prices if you look.

The bergeras and the like are disposable entry level guns. The MPA and customs are guns that will last a long long time, even as you swap out parts over time. Much better investment long term.

I have about 250 rounds of Hornady 143 and 147 ELD-X through my 6.5 CM. I am very happy with it. I’m consistently 1/2 MOA with it at 100 and it’s got legs out to 900 so far. I haven’t pushed it to 1000 yet but will soon. It’s a nice rifle.
