Let me preface this by stating a couple of things. 1. I am apparently piss poor at using google search. 2. I have spent hours scouring "bergara" on this forum and can't find verify the information that I have. 3. I love the Bergara rifles. (of the four I currently own, the least accurate of them averages a .67" group @ 100yds)
A few questions for you gentleman, and if you can provide sources for your information, I would greatly appreciate it
1. I am under the impression that the Head gunsmith at Bergara in Georgia is a former gunsmith for the USMC. I am not sure where I "learned" this, but it could have just potentially been gun store gossip that isn't actually founded in truth.
2. Does anyone have any experience with the Gunsmith shop in Georgia? I'm at a point in my life where I was considering having a couple of rifles built, but instead of going complete custom, I'd like to have a few rifles built that are custom, and still brand name. I'm willing to sacrifice unheard of accuracy for rifles built by and produced by a company with good people, doing good things.
3. What experiences do you have with custom gunsmiths from any brand manufacturer? Just looking for experiences, good, and bad.
