Hello all! Been eyeing these Berger 156gr EOL’s and there wasn’t much info at all besides a few guys on this forum. Ive had good luck with 143gr ELDX’s with deer/antelope but really wanted to go a smidge larger for Elk this year. Always kept seeing that many only suggested them for 6.5PRC but I took a leap of faith.

Did a ladder test today with RL26, Lapua , CCI450, from 42Gr-46.2gr and had some insanely impressive results. Running out of a brand new proof research 20” barrel suppressed which only finished its break in procedure. Hit a high of 2721FPS with absolutely no pressure signs yet at 46.2gr! May push it a smidge further to see if there’s another node further up.

Some serious potential with these Berger 156gr EOL’s!!!

it’s been a hell of a busy summer and I’ve finally had the chance to finalize my load on this! Take a look at this 5 shot group at 100 yards! Average 2811 FPS with no pressure signs out of my 20” proof barrel with 130 rounds down the pipe. 😍😍 Compressed load with 47GR of RL26!If you try to replicate this , I am not liable and this info was provided for educational purposes.

What are you getting velocity wise with your loading? How far have you pushed them out?
The 142's im getting 2850 out of my TacA1. Cumulative SD was 5-7 over 3 different 10 round strings on 3 different range trips. I know it's not as fast as custom barrels, but accuracy is half-moa consistently out to 3-400 with very narrow vertical dispersion. I'm not good at calling wind. I, the shooter, am definitely the limiting factor in that system.

I took this ammo only out to 880 or so at a match. After 3 rounds to zero at 100.. First stage was 748 yards. I input 748 into my Kestrel AB software with 2850 velocity and the BC given by Sierra. BOOM... TING. First round hit. Good enough for me.

Prime brass, 210M primers, 3-4x fired, FL sized to where the bolt closes with just a touch of resistance (whatever amount of shoulder setback that is I dont know, I use the chamber to tell me), final neck tension is 0.002 set with a Lee Collet die as the final sizing step before seating. Jumping 0.090".

... all sizing, priming, etc done on an OLD Dillon RL 450 press. 450 is one solid frame, no tool heads to move or swap. I dont measure bullet concentricity because, well, the ammo seems to shoot just fine and dandy LOL.

I used 47 of R26 with 142 SMK's and 147 ELDm's. Makes my T3x Tac A1 sing! Amazing accuracy and velocity consistency.

I'm currently trying 47.3gr with 147's in my savage right now. Might also try 46.6 and see what I can get out of it.
