Range Report Berger 185 VLD and Hunting bullet

What is the difference between Berger's Target 185 VLD and their 185 VLD Hunting Bullet? Anybody do side by side comparisons?

what are you wanting to compare? expansion for effective kill shots? group size? BC?
It would seem that if you want to hunt...get the Hunting, if you want to target shoot, get the Target. I dont know what the reason to compare the two would be.

The target bullet is nearly impossible to get at this time. So if the the hunting bullet is the same as the target but in a difference box, then that would be good to know. The BC are the same. Only planning on shooting paper.

The jacket is the difference. Thin jacket on the hunting bullet, thick on the target. 185 vld's are great bullets imo.

This is exactly what I was told by a Berger rep as well.

And they have the same BC's so they are the same. Some of us use our hunting bullets for our target bullets too.

The hunting bullets should well. Same as the target imo.

I would use these more often if they werent so expensive.
