Berger Bullet Seating Dies

I'd like to try Berger Bullets. I've heard that they are so pointed that a normal seating die doesn't work very well. I'm just wondering if regular RCBS or Lee dies will work okay. I've heard that Redding sells a plunger that will screw into most seating dies. Anyone have any experience with this. Thanks for your help....

Go with the forster Dies. they come with the correct bullet seating stem. Or, Order the vld seating stem from redding.
I don't know why they don't just come that way.

On a side note.... The Hornady 6.5Creedmoor match dies come with 2 seater stems (which aren't marked). Anyone ever check the two to see if one was cut for VLD?

Use the forster bench rest seater dies, does not touch the tip and runnout is near zero. $50 at Midway, these things are awesome.

I use the redding dies and the one that comes stock works fine. It leaves a small mark on the bullet but it does its job. My runout is usually less than .0015

If you have any doubt, simply disassemble the seating die, and take out the seating stem. Fit it over the bullet and see if the tip hits the top of the inside. If it does, then you will benefit from a vld stem.

I'm using hornady new dimension and just loaded some 168 7mm VDL's no problem. I took the setting die apart just to check. Bullet fit was perfect?!, shouldn't have any issues...
