I shot the GAP Grind a few weeks back with Berger 105 factory ammo for my 6CM. In two days, I had 8 rounds that didn’t fire with solid primer strikes. Berger was at the match and I took them 6 of the unfired rounds mid day on day 2 for inspection as I had already talked to them about it at the end of day 1. They seemed sincerely concerned, gave me a card with their contact info and asked me to reach out to them after the match so they could make it right. I also provided them with my contact info and asked that they email me or call me and let me know what they found wrong with the ammo. It’s been a few weeks and I had heard nothing so I emailed the person on the card they gave me but have yet to get a reply. I also called and left messages for that person with no response. I still have several boxes of that ammo that I am honestly scared to try in a match. Has anyone dealt with their CS or have a contact for them?

What’s the difference in headspace between your fired brass and the unfired
loaded ammo ? Keep calling, they are probably super busy and have a lot on
their plates. If you bought from a dealer and not direct, maybe contact them .

It’s the only ammo period I had issues with and it was just this lot number. It is Devaint Defiance action and the firing pin has been cleaned is in perfect working order. I order this ammo just for the match from Eurooptic plus a couple extra boxes to zero and check speed with. I practiced Friday with a different lot number Berger ammo with no issues. There were 4 people at the Berger booth and all 4 agreed the primer strikes were good. I also gave them some brass from some ammo that had fired to see if there was any difference. The gun had abt 1300 rounds on it when this happened and I shot a practice day and one more match after that with a different lot number berger ammo with no issues again. The defective ammo is ALL from the same lot number.

This is the second possible issue, and it would definitely cause the rifle to have inconsistent ignition.

There is .003” between fired and unfixed of that lot, exactly the same of the other lots that have fired 100%. I think they had a batch of bad primers, which is kinda what the Berger reps thought at the match.

Is this the same as the contact info you have?

I have actually been calling and emailing the guy that gave me his card, it‘s one number off from that. I will try that and maybe they can transfer me or get a message to him.
