How similar is the seating depth to COAL ratio between 7mm Amax's and Berger VLD? We are working to finalize the amount of free bore on a reamer and have built some dummies using the Amax but don't have any VLDs to test.
Using the 162 Amax with .130" free-bore my COAL is 2.900 which fits inside my 3.00" Wyatts mag box. My question is if I seat the 168 VLD to the same .130" free-bore, what will the length of my COAL be? Same as Amax or longer/shorter?
