Hi everyone,

First post, here. Curious to know how my 5-shot, 400 yard groups compare to others' using a similar .223 rig. Under ideal conditions, I'm consistantly running 4.5 to 5 inches, from a bipod.

Rifle is my regular coyote-killer, a Howa 1500 with Axiom pistol-grip stock, Timney trigger, and Shepherd Model 5.56 scope. Ammo is Black Hills, 50g Hornady V-Max moly at 3300, since this load most closely matches the BDC of the scope (which I highly recommend, BTW.) I tried a few different handloads a friend gave me, but they were not any more accurate.

Thanks, Marc

I shoot a Remington 700 SA in HS Precision stock. Jewell trigger set to 3 ounces. 80 grain SMK over 24.4 grains Varget. Lapua brass and Wolf SRM primers. Sinclair Gen 3 bipod. 2870 fps. Will hold sub 3/4 moa elevation at 600 yards.
You're not doing bad with factory ammo.
