I typically like the geissele super precision mounts for my optics but planning on buying a leupold mark 5 soon. It has a 35mm tube, and it look like the super precision mount is not offered in 35mm. Other suggestions for high quality scope mounts that will work on an ar15 platform?

hard to use the search function with my research because "AR" "best" and "35" are too common to be included in my search.

Check out the 35mm equivalent to the 34mm A194 Nightforce. I find it to be spot on for me, and can’t imagine a better overall mount dimensionally. I know everyone has different setups but my scope (hdmr) is centered in the mount and the eye relief is set just a tad forward of the rear charging handle.

thank you for the suggestion, i definitely will check it out. an HDMR was one of the optics i was considering, any negative issues with it? anything you wish was different?

looks like the mount goes past the rail length on top of a normal AR upper, i better take it off your hands and save you from the trouble it causes you :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I don't have one but the addmount seem to get high praise. They have inserts for the 35mm mount so you can also use it with 30mm tube.
I believe @koshkin is a big fan of these mounts.

Well, yes, the turret clicks are very positive coming down, but not going up. It’s a very minor thing but I was expecting easy to detect detents at each tenth of a mill, but reality was such that I will run the turret past my desired value and come down to it. Otherwise there’s a touch of “unsureness” rather I’m in the value I want or above it. Mind you, these are available around 1200 new if you look hard enough....so for the money I really like it a lot. The G3 reticle is my favorite. Simple and effective although I’m more of a dial and shoot kind of guy i feel the G3 really makes point and shoot pretty damn easy.

I just put a vortex precision extended cantilever mount on my ar (not a 35mm one though) and have been really impressed by it for the money. The finish is very nice and it had a solid lock up to the rail. They do make a 35mm one so I would suggest that you take a look and see if that will meet your needs.

Where would you find one of these? NF has no 35mm listed. I am looking for a solid mount for a MK5 also.
