I've decided I want a 224V bolt gun so let's not go down that rabbit hole, will be shooting a lot of 75s,77s, 80s and the 88gr Hornady and 90grs of some kind are as heavy as I'm gonna go.
I was looking at the Origin action but I really know nothing about custom actions, if they had a factory 224v I would buy it and eventually rebarrel to something nice but I figure custom is the way to go. What are my "cheapest" options?
99% sure it'll go in a KRG bravo so I can use good mags and have longer OAL.

Second question is do I have to get a barrel blank and have it reamed and all that or can I order one already chambered? I know it's a 6.8 bolt but don't know the measurements, would a 22-250 or 6.5 Grendel bolt work? Just thinking if there's a production gun like a Tikka or Howa that I could rebarrel and stocked that might save me some $$.

Somebody please point me in the right direction I'm on a budget but can do it piece by piece cause this is a gun a will shoot a lot and keep probably forever.
Thanks for the help.

The Remington Action linked above will be your cheapest route. The Origin can be ordered with the correct bolt face and I am considering going that route myself. Buy a prefit barrel from PVA and your'e set.

I just built my Valkyrie on a Bighorn Arms TL3. I went that route because I plan on swapping bolt heads and barrels when I feel like it. The Origin would be a good choice. As far as barrels go there are several reputable places that make shouldered prefits for the Origin, Nucleus, TL3, etc.

What mags are you using and how are they working?

I went with an Origin action,a hawk hill barrel, and the MDT ACC chassis. With this chassi and using there mags I’ll be able to stretch the O.A.L. out as far as needed. Without worrying about the mag length becoming a problem.
One thing not to forget, something you will most likely upgrade anyways is with any aftermarket action you will need a trigger. Using a Remington 700 action it may come with a trigger that you can use for a bit of time before spending another 300$
Crazy thing about this game is it seems like you can always spend another 100 or 2 for a little bit better something or other. Pretty soon your way deeper into it than you thought you would be. Good luck and have fun.
