Best all in one long range 556 kit

The kits are mostly cheap hodgepodge shit for the people who want to build $400 AR15’s. I’m not aware of mid to high end kits like your budget is allowing.

If you’ve already got the lower I’d be looking for a complete upper around a grand and then $500 to complete the lower. If you wait for a sale you can build a hell of a nice lower for $500. I’d get a Seekins parts kit for just under $100, Geissele SSA-E or SD-E trigger depending on whether you prefer a curved or straight shoe for sub $200 on sale, and that leave you $200 for buffer assembly and stock. For that budget I’d get an LMT enhanced tube, Geissele super 42 buffer and spring, and a Magpul ACS.

There’s a lot of great uppers for a grand. I’d be buying one of the new 224 Valkyrie uppers from Seekins that were just released.

I would get Craddock to build you one on your parts with his barrel. You can easily be under 1500 and have exactly what you want. I just have my parts shipped to him when I ordered stuff and he assembled it when it all came in.

You can get a Larue trigger which has real good reviews for $87. Then a complete upper from a bunch of places. There are 20% off coupons for seekins in the for sale section. Seekins has uppers. Get your lower parts kit and stock and you are set.
The Larue complete kits are probaly also a good deal.

I built a Stag 15 Varminter Kit back last Fall. I haven't done any formal groups measurement shooting with it yet, but it comes with a completed 24" stainless bull Upper, the LPK includes a nice 2-stage, and the rifle digests everything from hotter 50gr handloads to Hornady 75gr Steel Match and IMI 77's.

Accuracy approaches 1/2MOA at 100, and I need to apply a bit more attention to detail; so I think 1/2MOA would be a reasonable claim for them (Yes it's the second one in the house, the first is a Stag Model 6 predecessor model that I've been shooting for nearly a decade in various Club and formal F T/R matches, mostly 300, one at 600).

It's a very reasonably priced kit setup, I like the Mueller 8-32x44 Target Dot, and I think it'll give you that warm, fuzzy feeling for a long, long time. Assembly...; henh, maybe 1/2 hour for my first time at it; absolutely not even one hassle to mention.
