Best AR15 upper configuration

Am planning to build my own upper. Thinking of the following:

VLTOR MUR-1S upper receiver
Noveske Afghan 14.5" barrel
Samson Evolution 12.37" rail
Surefire brake (pinned to barrel)
FailZero BCG


Any recommendations? Particularly on barrel.

Noveske makes good stuff, so I wouldn't worry with your choice. Other, perhaps more affordable barrels are the ones from Rainier Arms. I've got one of their match barrels for a build I'm working on. Can't wait for they buying frenzy to slow a little so I can find a NiB BCG and a few other odds/ends. Good luck.
