Only optics I have used recently are USO and SB. This is a $450 rifle, and I have little experience with optics suited to this range and caliber. Knowledgeable suggestions, would be greatly appreciated. Reticle should be suitable for small varmint work.

I bought a last years model leupold VX-III at an outlet store. Paid $300 bucks for it and was really pleased. I have NF on all my precision rifles, but could not see myself spending that for a .22lr. I have seen a few of these on sample list. Many of them have the hunting reticles with hold overs. --Brandon

Ive got a Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x40 with mildot on my CZ452 in .22lr. Its clear and with the mil-dot reticle you can hold for elevation and windage easily. The only downside is that it doesnt have target knobs, but with only a 50yd zero its not too bad. And I picked mine up used for around 200 bucks.

I use a SWFA SS on my 452 .22lr and am very happy with it.

It's a hand-me-down from another rifle. If I were getting one right out I'd get a Falcon Menace in mil/mil.

It makes for a great training rifle and I'm pretty dang accurate out to just over 200 yards (I've not put serious effort into anything further)

nice little rifles. I've got a CZ452 in 17 HMR.. I can tell you what scope sucks... which is a burris 4.5-14. The clarity of the scoeps drops waaayy off above 10X. I guess if I just assume it's a 4.5-10 with AO, it's not a bad scope though
