Hello everyone, looking for a base and rings for my new <span style="font-weight: bold">LEFT HANDED</span> Remington 700 short action. Trying to keep the total purchase under $400 or so give or take a few... Thank you in advance for any help in this matter!

no I have not shot 1K range but have friends in Arizona that due and I want to be set up with the right bases and not get to a point where someone could say "ohh you need to upgrade this or that" I'm going to end up fully working the 700 and I want to make sure the "foundations" are rock solid...

Then call Scott at Liberty Optics and have him set you up with a Seekins 20 MOA base and a set of Seekins rings.
I don't recall ever seeing a post by someone not happy with Seekins, Badger or Nightforces quality. Buy once, cry once.

Badger or NF one piece base with 20moa slope and NF ultralight rings. NF actually states their Ultralights are stronger then their steel rings. Badger also makes alloy rings but I have yet to see them or know anyone who uses a set.
I have a set of the NF ultralights around a 5-22 x 50mm NXS and they are rock solid ontop of a surgeon action throwing a 308.

check out US Optics... They are semi-close to you and have some great products. I picked up some rings form them and love them.

either will clear, depends on your barrel contour. i'd assume you got a Left handed 700 SPS tactical. with that you should grab the 1.0 rings to be safe.

My first impression of NF rings - when I sat the scope in the rings I couldn't even turn the scope to adjust the reticle alignment- it just fits like a glove. Makes sense they say you don't even need to lap the rings. No regrets!!
