That's right...I'm looking for ONE .308 suppressor for both my Remy 700 and my HK51. I realize that I'm going to have to get a full auto rated suppressor, but I think those give way to performance only seen in strickly bolt gun suppressors.

Does anyone have experience in shooting one can for a bolt gun and a machine gun (.308)?

I'm wanting the best of both worlds in a single package.

Thanks in advance!

You're going to have to be careful with suppressing the HK51, you may need a different locking piece/rollers to deal with the additional back pressure. I'd also be wary of shooting an HK51 full auto with a can on it, I've heard several stories of cans blowing up from all the unburnt powder that gets into them from super-short barrels when oxygen rushes back in after you've finished dumping a mag.

I think you'll be fine with any full auto rated can. You may not get the quietest suppressor but it should work fine.
As noted by the previous poster you need to look at locking pieces for the HK but if you select the right one you should be fine. I'm not an HK guy but I shoot with a bunch of them and the 51 can be supressed without any issues as long as you take care of the locking piece. It kind of defeats the whole purpose of the HK51 though which is flash and boom.

I have never seen a can blow up from unburnt powder especially since the powder has its own oxygen source and needs none from the returning gas. I have seen suppressors pop and flash from the hydrogen and carbon monoxide that build up, but they don't have enough poop to blow up the can. Unless you buy a cheap can thats unsafe to shoot you should be fine on that score.
