Like many, I’ve got several new factory take off barrels that I can’t bring myself to get rid of. I’ve been thinking about getting a lathe and using them to learn with. If nothing else, in case of the zombie apocalypse I was thinking a thin recoil lug and a crush washer would allow them to be headspaced on different actions. Maybe a smith could fit them all for a dedicated action. I’m looking for intelligent answers because tomato smashing and attitude adjusters are already taken lol. Thanks

I’ll suggest the lathe and practice idea as well.
Someday I want to get a lathe and could definitely see the advantage of having several practice barrels to learn on
