Guys, what is the best virtual computer based DVD training product? Before it's said, I know ahead of time nothing beats range time, but illness severley limits is, and I need something to run the mnemonics of range estimation and optics adjustment until it's second nature.

Thanks in advance.

Shooter Ready is great for getting the math and practicing breaking down the reticle. However milling a target on the computer and milling it through the scope is a vastly different experience. Mirage can make milling very interesting.

Dry fire is another non-range training technique that will greatly improve your range time. You can dry fire anywhere you can lay down behind a rifle. A new product call the IOTA will even allow you to use high power optics inside.

Indoor Optical Training Aid

What he said... If you haven't joined the online training is well worth the price of admission.

That sucks you arent able to get to the range as often as you would like. The on-line training is an extremely good option and of course dry firing. If you are able to, since you are asking about range estimation etc you could set up looking out your window (barrel inside I would hope) at different objects and try to range them then confirm with laser if you can do so. Good luck.

Re: Best Virtual Training Product

Four years ago this asshole Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor damaged my neck badly demonstrating a certain technique (stack to pass guard)to the class. I ended up with my chin on my chest and my knees on the mat beside me, way past my point of flexibility. It just took this long to show up. I'm about 75% disabled and has ruined my practice. Good news, the docs are finally paying attention and my orthopod is recommendedin fusion and discectomy at two levels. I'll never be able to lay directly behing behind a rifle again like Lowlight trains, but so be it. I just need to keep the numbers game fresh in my head.
right now i"m using Shooter Ready despite a few glitches.

I'm still deciding what to do about the BJJ instructor. Something long and painful, like batons to the knees.
