What is the best way to remove old bedding compound? Will rebarrel and switch over to badger DBM setup and want to make sure the pillars/bedding is correct. Thanks

Re: Best way to remove old bedding compound?

Thanks guys. Anyway to remove the old pillars to use the badger supplied pillars or should the ones installed be fine with the M5 DBM? If they would be fine, I'd leave them alone and just redo the bedding.

You can skim bed and be fine. Leave the pillars in.

One more thing- do it outside.

I did what you describe(Dremel) in my reloading room and that bedding compound gets every where. Now, I set up a pair of sawhorses in the yard and have at it.

I've worked with carbon fiber resin before and sanding and know how messy/hazardous it can get. I usually put a trash bag on my upper body and a full respirator. It is indeed some nasty stuff.

+1 on the dremel tool and a dust mask.
