Sidearms & Scatterguns Best youth revolver?

My oldest boy (11) has decided he wants to save his money this summer to buy a pistol. I'm not a big pistol buff but I know my way around a handgun.

The Ruger LCRx has caught his attention. It's light enough and the grip is small enough for him. Anyone with experience with this one in particular? How about other suggestions?

LCRX with a 3" barrel is great

it is REALLY light...it feels like a toy...which makes it a little snappier than a full sized gun...but its not unmanageable...personally i would look at the .22lr version

the trigger is the best factory trigger you will find on an gun in its price range...simply phenomenal.

the grip angle is steep...it feels identical to a 1911...
