The Great Beyond
As if we didn't already know

Took an employment test this weekend to test my skillset. It required a webcam connection full time while you took the test. Supposedly to screenshot your desktop every so often. Given that I work in Artificial Intelligence, I am not entirely comfortable giving away that kind of data. Not to mention its for a private employer. (and of course half the junk on there was busy work unrelated to AI)

Yes, yes, Private Company, their rules--its time to push back. If you can't trust me, I can't trust you. It works both ways. I think I may take my talents elsewhere.

Had a thunderstorm and my cat knocked the webcam cable loose and it went offline--test was immediately halted. I think he was on to something

I can go out on a limb and bet that many, if not most recorded webcam communications out there are being used to test, train, and groom AI software, and most of them without the participants' knowledge or consent... It is literally the "legal" version of the digital voyeur's upskirt camera shoots...

Big brother doesn't need to watch you anymore, we open our doors for big tech then they gov buys that data with our own tax dollars without so much as a warrant.

That's the latest test monitoring thing. They track your gaze and want to see if you are looking away from the computer screen (at a suspected second device). They are doing this to high school and college kids all the time.

It's only going to get worse.

na the computer just wants your pic for its new dating service for ex cons . It's not big brother thou if you wanna call bubba big brother while he cuddles you later that night I am sure it might make him happy . lol best of luck with that .

Were you under the impression that the company trusted you and would not have checks and balances to keep track of your work in some manner? You are an employee, so even if they trust you, they don't actually trust you. Management and labor are always at odds and always have been.

Your limb is pretty safe. It happens. That's how facebook gets its money. Your data, sent for free--they resell.

Google--same thing.

Set up a packet sniffer sometime and watch what your devices are sending.....

There are care giving agencies and states that are requiring care givers to use a new app.
This app has access to all of your phone including anything you have saved on the phone.
It has access to your camera can download without asking for permission and can delete all cache.
So the employer can literally turn on the camera, record a video, download the video, and then clear the cache erasing the evidence that they did any of it.

If you have a phone, laptop, smart appliances, or anything with some internet connectivity they are all listening to you. Microphones can be activated on at anytime via gov. Locations are tracked per tower providing signal to the phone/GPS through internet for precise location. You’re being watched, listened to, and located every second of your life.

This is so true...I was in a hospital ER recently with mom and asked ER doctor to do a CT scan on mom for an elevated D-dimer blood test. About an hour later I grabbed laptop out of bag and enter in search "What are causes of" and the first suggestion was "What are the causes of an elevated D-dimer"...no other proof needed by me.

The microphones are listening... lol. But seriously, I’ve had many times I talk about something and look at my phone later to see an ad for something similar to it. It’s called “Analytical Data” I call it spying without consent and every big Corp is doing it today. It’s sad. We live in a world where we no longer have privacy.

I was taking these online and monitored tests for medical certs back in 2014. Its nothing new, but it does feel like Pandora's box opened last year.

I went into the settings of my iPhone and turned a whole bunch of stuff and most of that has gone away now. I’m sure there is still all kinds of tracking that you can’t turn off, but going into the settings and turning everything you can off does help

I’ve done that as well for cross-app tracking (which isn’t really an option anywhere), locations, and access to storage. But these phones work by sharing data and there’s no way to stop it unless you buy some obsolete phone from 2000s era or so. Social media apps and even marketing apps all speak to each other to collect data. Search history, microphone use, texts, anything. It’s scary what these phones pick up and store.

our HR team had a similar requirement for testing recruits during the plandemic.
i think they decided to use webex or something, although that doesn't eliminate access to another machine.
i suppose they can watch their eyes?

oh, and Accurate Background "accidentally" sent notification for "post hire" background checks to everyone, causing panic across the company, lol.
i think these are done yearly but most are unaware of it.

I'm reading up on using an unlocked Pixel and running Graphene on it to get away from Google.

Seems like a viable candidate I'm just going to wait on a supported 5G device.

I’ve been using DuckDuckGo as my default browser... on my IPhone 11..... not like that’s doing much justice lol but still makes me feel better not using google.

I want to get away from all of them. Especially as our descent into the chaos of socialism accelerates I don't need my opinions recorded as it happens in real time along with my location, etc, etc

I completely understand. I’m trying to get away from tech a good bit. I REALLY enjoy my personal life. Don’t need people from the alphabet agencies sitting in chairs eating popcorn watching me scratch my nuts on a Saturday evening.

Have you seen on FB where under settings it tracks all the websites you visit? It’s called “off Facebook activity” and sure enough had everywhere I had been just like browser history.

I mean I know everything is storing everything and Facebook is what it is, but they don’t even give a fuck if you know they track you anymore... they have the gall to share it back with you like it’s a convenient feature.
Deleted my FB and Twitter last month.

Why would you feed the very monsters that are trying to destroy you?

i was "purged" from twitter sometime on january 8th, when i hadn't even posted anything for some time.
not that i was anything worth their attention.
i am not sure what "feeding" is, and i don't know how they make money from my activity.
basically i used my account to force stories into the streams of normies (by sheer volume by hundreds of thousands like me).
they didn't like this, and they did something about it.
if i could create another account without doxing myself, i would do it again.

so far, facebook is still someplace where i can see pictures and updates from relatives i cannot see in person.

I’m new here and one of the reasons I hesitated to join was “gun activity” on my internet history. I figured once I made a scope or reloading purchase on Amazon I was “listed” anyway, DuckDuckGo or not. something like 60% of internet servers are Amazon’s anyway...

Howdy Bevo,

I respect your position and will answer. I feed the monster because it’s a good marketing tool— the best one I am aware of. I got over 8k views on a single post a few weeks ago. 12 months ago I didn’t have a FB and didn’t have anyone to sell my steers to. Just this week I advertised them of FB and their sold. It’s my first sale so it’s a big deal for me. It’s pretty beneficial to have a platform where I can connect with like minded people to learn from and maybe potentially do business with. As a matter of fact it would be great if you wanted to show your support and follow my page. I would appreciate it. https://m.facebook.com/pages/category/Meat-Wholesaler/Sweet-Cheeks-Cattle-Company-107161007723728/

Oh, and BTW Bevo, SAW EM’ OFF!
Well I'll be damned, how did cattle ever get sold before facebook?!?

This is what's loaded on Federal Govt (owned) Employee cell phones, possibly Military owned cell phones also. It can track movement and location, record text, phone call, email conversations. Turn on and record audio and camera functions, etc.

We'll be seeing more and more of this type of stuff for everyday American's.

I have a government-owned phone and unless it's invisible to the user it's not on mine. We have other configuration apps to keep noses clean, but it's a strictly business phone anyway so I don't care what they do with it.

Now as for my personal cell, VPN is always on.

From what I recall, it is invisible.

Here's the directive from GSA
