I want to give some thanks to Eric for doing some leg work for me on a Saturday morning.

I brought a TL3 action with all my build components today and I'd forgotten to get tennon prints for a my friend and Smith to get me rolling. One call to Bighorn and I connected with Eric. He found the prints and sent them direct to my email. Mind you it is Saturday morning around 9am.

My friend went to work and got the tennon threads finished to screw the barrel to the action. He was very pleased at how increadably true the action was going on. Bighorn has our thanks for an increadable action and excellent customer service.

Thanks again Eric and crew at Bighorn Arms!

Ps. When I get to a computer I'll post up the tennon prints.

Why did the smith (your friend) need tennon prints if he had your action in hand? Maybe I read that wrong?

Not an unreasonable question. The answer is that we were in a serious time crunch and I was particularly interested in what they recommended for shank length. I have little doubt that my standard .010 barrel to bolt clearance would have sufficed, but why not get it straight from the guys who made the action?

Very impressed with the action as well. Some of the nicest threads I've come across. Could have stood by the lathe all day swilling strong coffee and spinning that action on and off the barrel.
