With things like the sig kilo 3000 and vortex fury, is it a must to have a kestrel for it to sync to for your dope, or are there apps that you can use on your phone that will act the same as a kestrel?

Looking at getting a pair, but didn’t want to have to turn around and drop another $600+ on a weather meter

The Sig Kilo 3000 has a built-in AB solver. It has some limitations like maximum range (800 yards, I believe).

Above is correct. You put in your info through the Sig BDX app then sync it to the binos, but it does only go to 800 yards. For the fury’s, the normal fury 5000s are no ballistics and the AB version has full AB plus some instrumentation to get environmental conditions. They will give solutions as far as AB will solve
