How hard would it be to cut the mounting post out of a versa-pod mount, and mount in the forend of a bell and carlson tactical stock. have any of you guys tried this?If so what kind of glue,epoxy.etc. should be used. Also would the post have to be lengthend. How deep should the hole be drilled for the mounting post.I trying to make something similar to the old parker hale system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated........467

bedding compound sounds like a good idea.do you think the versa-pod mounting post is long enough.I trying to figure out how deep to drill the hole.

You can buy just the spigot, which is much longer and do the install yourself. The spigot on the adapter itself isn't long enough. Install is a breeze.

Did you have to use any kinda glue or bedding compound.

Yep,

Used Marine-Tex to hold everything in place.
